i would not say reinventing.. i see it more as thinking out side of the box.

i like some the of specs on that thing.. 14000 redline, 50000km between oil changes.. less heat, and friction

Very good idea. Looks like a developement of barrel valve engines which have been around for a while. Something like this should've been done long ago.
