ok buddy to make your car drift you have to have power to spin the wheels, thus pumping the shit outa it. that is recking your car. second your tires are spining very fast so your tires are shedding rubber.

BTW: dont try it unless you have a locking diff and losts of power

The engine is also constantly bouncing the rev limiter while sideways, so the revs combined with oil starvation can cause damage too. THe suspension is subject to some pretty intense loads too. And of course, there's tire wear.
