Insurance Inspection

I am not familiar with the differences between insurance inspections and out of province inspection. Can someone enlighten me? Depth of each inspection, usual cost etc, thanks.

Insurance inspection checks all the lights, suspension brakes and steering parts and tires, and all basic things, the form the mechanic uses is here:

THe out of province inspection is much more indepth and will check the alignment, and that everything is DOT certified as well.
