A few questions:

I'm thinking of replacing proby for an mr2. My girlfriend would be driving it the most to the train station and back n such. With a good set of winter tires does the mr2 do pretty well?

And are there certain years the mr2 have lsd?

is it a manual or a auto tranny? the car is mid rear so it is easier to spin if you giver too much gas on snow (while moving)

How much does a used LSD go for? 500.00US? If I wanted to get an older mr2 that is, but same gen.

Please dont have her ruin an mr2 by driving it in the winter. Have her buy a delsol or something, .:)

I did about 3 weeks in my 2 in the winter this year. It was just fine, though the roads were good.

Just be carefull, just like any other car. And I have the truck if I just don't want to take the car.
