Hey guys... my family is searching for 2 SUV's.. my mom wants one because she sold her van and is looking for 1 under $10k.. she wants low payments. like $200/m so we need to keep it under 10k. whats the best for her.. she will never 4x4.. and needs auto tranny. wants something late 90's early 00's...

Now for me.. im also looking under $10k but wantperformance and power for 4x4ing and possibly pulling a trailer with a quad.. but im going to be using it as a daily driver so i dont want anything to crazy.. under 10k and reliable as will be doing tons of travelling with familt to bc...

older pathfinder or 4 runner but anything that is that old will not have a lot of power but would still pull a quad

I have a friend with an immaculate and I mean immaculate Toyota 4runner for sale. Looks like new in and out. Bought new and dealer serviced. All maintenance up to date.

1995 -- everything but leather, V6 140,000km, Dark Green, 31 inch tires, no rust. asking $13,500.

This thread is just going to turn out like this one:

In which you basically asked the same question...

Blazers/Jimmy's are pretty bad IMO. They also have bad mileage, are bad for rolling, and are basically the cheapest possible SUV GM could make (except maybe the tracker!). They are not built as well as the 4runner/pathfinder, you can see that within 2 seconds of being in both. That being said, that is the market they were trying to be in with it but I would for sure buy an older 4 runner/pathfinder first.

is there any reason you only want an SUV, if your going to be off roading and stuff why don't you look at a Tacoma, you could get a really nice one for around 10K, I would guess a 97 or something. As for SUV's I have owned both a pathfinder and 2 4Runners, both excellent vehicles.

For $10K you can get a pretty decent explorer.

They will run a long time without serious issues.

I'd pick up a pathfinder or something before an explorer. My friend has a 1999 explorer and you can even see exposed metal on the A and B pillars. His case may be unique, but there is so many problems with that car of his.

Have you considered a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (5.2L V8) from 1996-1999?

Just for your information, the summer before last my dad sold his 1996 explorer limited for 10 000, and it had like only 130 or 140k km on it with no major issues, and v8 engine. It was the beige/champange colour.

It was a really good vehicle. Don't think there are too many around. But they are probably 7-9000 I would think now. Might be worth checking out.

those are contradicting terms.

Have you even consider gas prices by getting a powerful SUV as daily driver.
