Reg at RCTS wants me too but it has the Boost Logic Upgraded automatic Tranny.....Which claims to shift faster in a drag then any 6 speed, however in a road course it would be allot better to have a 6speed so i am not sure yet

Here is a Video of a Boost Logic car with their Automatic Tranny

Yup they defiantly are pretty sweet autos... How do you find RCTS ? Did you get the little walk around and look at these dyno graphs hehehe.. Or HKS is the best :D

Reg is a good guy , but I sometimes dont like the prices.. As for the 6 speed swap , it usually comes out to around $10,000 when its all said and done.

RCTS

To be honest they were awesome down there....i have the HKS v-pro and i am running the same program he is running on his supra that won the Lap one.
I have been there enough to know that they know there shit. Speedtech and Tuner works always send them their cars to get tunned.

Its true the 6 speed conversion is 10,000..... so we will see i might take out my Greddy T78 next year and put in a HKS T78 not sure. The HKS v-pro made my graph smooth..so i would definitly recommend that if you don't have it yet

JAYMEZ

I took apart the Greddy T78 turbo and Got to look at the HKS T78...
The hks is allot better built bigger thicker blades better welds .....as well the HKS wategate sounds awesome. Sounds allot tighter then the Greddy.

Man I was gonna import a Supra from the States, but they are just becoming another skyline fad to be honest. I am wanting to get a good and rare car, Supra was deffinately one of the options, but it seems like I have to look for something else, they are getting way too common imo.

But without a doubt, really nice cars man!

I like them a lot, they are really good for catching attention. But for some reason I just can't get myself to get a 15-16 year old car. Like if I buy a car THAT old might as well get a exotic sorta car. Something that would be fast to begin with as well. Plus I am not that much of a fan of the old body styling on the NSX.

I am not planning to get a car anytime soon for now, prolly think about it once I finish my degree.

if its just for a rare car....get a 2006 Lotus Elise from Vancouver
Fun to drive but not to powerfull......NSX
Lots of Power + Reliable and competes with American Muscle Cars .....Supra
Lots of Power not to Reliable...........R32

Supras are a fad? lol , i think there is only about 13 in calgary.. and some of the owners own 2... It will never be a skyline fad because young kids cant afford them. Just alot of people say they are getting them ...

T78Supra1
06-21-2006, 12:52 PM
:werd:

Just a note the average Skyline out there with mods in worth less than <30,000

The 8 or so supra's that i have seen in calgary have at least 20,000+ invested in them not including the price of the car.

Mitsu3000gt

I've seen a ton of supras in calgary, the newest body style ones. I highly doubt I'm seeing the same ones all over the place, but I suppose it's possible. I'm willing to bet there is more than 12 in a city with a million people in it and LOTS of money.

I see way more supras in the city than I do 3000gt's and I know there are quite a few 3000gt's in the city from back when I used to have one, and I'm sure there are only more now.

Who knows maybe its just luck,

PS: Is that supra Automatic??? Do I see the P R N D 2, etc. numbers below the tach? I've never seen inside one before that I can remember. Very nice car.

You are seeing the same supras alot ... There is not alot of Supras in town , and i see 3000gts every day ... Just because there is a million people doesnt mean a million people can drive , or want the supra , or even afford the supra.

And yes all 1996 TT Supras are Autos.

I work downtown, and I literally see one or more supras a day, while im walking around, and driving too and from work. It is not usually the same one. They are fairly rare though, but they aren't that expensive - only in comparison to the amount of bmw and mercedes, ferrari, etc. in the city.

Im sorry to hear that all 1996 supra's were autos , that sucks. I'm sure they are super fast still - is it a good automatic?

The automatic will out perform the 6 speed in a Drag.....
However on a road course where fast down shifting is required the 6 speed comes in handy

I agree with JAYMEZ_STI.......talking to people in the supra club and talking to RCTS and Speedtech....there is:

4 red ones
3 black ones
1 orange
1 baby blue
2 silver ones
2 white ones

these are the ones that get there stuff at Speedtech, TunerWorks, Matrix, RCTS and Dynomotive.
So knowing that there are really only 3 DynoJets in Calgary
1.RCTS
2.DYNOMOTIVE
3. *forget name*
Then according to you there are a whole lot of untuned or Stock supra's in Calgary.

shakalaka
06-21-2006, 02:25 PM
Well I didn't really mean to say that they were as common as Skyline's, they are deffinately really rare compared to most of the other cars.

My point was that they are getting more and more common. Like the time I remembered when Jaymez was importing his, I only knew of a couple, then suddenly after that I started spotting and hearing about them. They are still very fancy cars, and I deffinately like them a lot.

i live downtown, just off of 6th ave (right by the science ceter) and i am always on my balcony and i have yet to see a supra drive by. As for the skyline fad thing, remember gts-t's are alot more common than a gtr. like rarely see an actual gtr and most of the time they are at a shop. On another note, fairlady's are imported alot more than r32's.

I am one of those people who like supra's but hey i would take an FD any day over one. but thats just personal preferance

Gravy_83

Just telling you what I see. I also have trouble believing there are zero stock supras in the city. I'm not trying to argue or call anyone a liar here, just saying what I see.

They are no doubt a reasonably rare car.

Crazy cars, not an sti fan, but that supra is clean and classy, i like it. I really havent seen too many of the last gen supras on the road around here, maybe just driving in the wrong areas? Seen tons of 3000gt's, and quite a few fairladys although not too many tts (gotta love the 300zxtt! :D )

Keep up the good work, and dont touch the wheels, put the money under the hood where it belongs!

Do you still have your stock rims, you should throw those back on if you do. Ive heard alot about your car, I hear its quite the HKS powered monster, see you cruising every once and a while. And the supra is still a very rare car, production numbers were low, many were written off early in their lifetime. Hell even when Im in Cali Im lucky if I see one 4th gen, yet I see queer ass yuppies in 360s all over the place.
