Deck won't keep radio presets

This shouldn't be too hard....whenever I program radio stations in my deck they work until I shut the car off, then when I turn it back on its back to square 1....but my clock stays at the right time. Any ideas?

someone hooked up the yellow and red wires on your deck together, and hooked them both to the ignition. remove it, and hook the yellow wire to a constant positive (for aftermarket decks, if you've got a factory, then I have no clue....someone may have been dumb and hooked the black to a momentary ground as well. Ground it somewhere properly)
