Recovering Data

Hey guys,
i was wondering if anyone here knows how i can retrieve data from a removable hard disk,
what happened was that something burnt in the piece that goes after the hard disk and now the removable hard disk wont connect to my computer, it lights up but wont read it

now, im pretty sure that the hard disk hasnt been damaged,
i just need a way for me to be able to retrieve all my data from the hardisk

the hard disk is not normal sized on that goes in a cpu, it is smaller than that. i think it is a laptop hard drive,

any suggestions would be appreciated

Unless you have an enclosure, I'd just pay MemX or some other laptop repair shop to get the files off. They have them.

Buy an external hard drive enclosure, or a 2.5 to 3.5 inch HD adapter and use it as a slave on your computer. Transfer the files.

Then return it.

today i tried puttin the harddrive in a laptop and using it and it wont work
i think the hard drive is burnt as well
