Can't you get more accurate pricing?

There is no warranty on these units. Units are sold AS IS. At this price, it is a bargin. These are brand new.

14 of these units have already been sold and all have been good to go...

I'm going to order a couple to test out first before this buy goes through.

I'll keep everyone up to date

Yes I have. Same goes for this? Why wouldn't compustar want to warranty their products?

if youve boughten alarms, decks anything electronic most 3rd party sellers will indicate that it does not have warranty and is sold as is

3rd party? To me that means Manufacturer, Distributor, and Retail store. Anyway I'm not trying to turn people away from the group buy it's an excellent deal, everyone just has to be careful!

By the way I have the Compustar and it's one of my best purchases.

duely noted...as indicated I'm testing a few units first before anything goes. I am purchasing these units from the third party with the price being so low they are sold as is.

but it is good to look out for everyone else's interests...

it's not a groupbuy :)

Is the install pretty complex/scary on a Jetta? Do these alarms have a turbo-timer?

I'm pretty interested. Thanks 12V and SpyGuy! :)

this is not the spread spectrum, just the regular 2 way alarm/starter with turbo timer version

as indicated on the website...

"2WFM-AS (two-way frequency modulation alarm/starter combo) "

Jetta's are a little bit of a pain in the ass, they have an isolated parklight system, and a few other quirks, but they're still not a problem to do, the newer compustars have the turbo timer, but i'm not sure if the one he's selling does. but I'm going to find out.

Good to hear. Right on man, thanks a ton. You work at... Impressions? I've probably met you before -- but then again -- if you're new(er) then maybe not.

the only diff betweem the .25 mile and the 1 mile one is the range riight?? or does it have more functions?

Fluidic
04-10-2003, 11:13 AM
I had the .25 mile CompuStar unit installed on my Explorer (Impressions installed it for me  ) and it worked great. The range, I swear, was much farther then advertised!! :)
