Was wondering where in calgary i could buy soy beans just too steam. Or can someone enlighten me as to how they prepare them at Sushi restaraunts. Always get them at the Sushi Boat and would like to make them just for appitizers at home without having to go and get them made at a restaraunt.

Hmm I think your looking for edamame beans which are freshly picked green soy beans...T&T should carry them

boil em for 3-10 mins depending on amount
lightly salt
serve warm or cold

I know this is how it is done as i used to work at sushi boat plus im also japanese

Anyone know where to get big ass bags of edamame beans? T&T used to have these big 5 lb bags and now they just seem to carry really small ones.

I think they may have them at some grocery store called 88. Sorry, I dunno the name of the road it's on since I'm not from Calgary. But it's just a couple blocks west of ZR Auto and the Safeway on the opposite side of the street.

go to one of the asian supermarkets around center street and 16 Ave N. You will find them in the frozen section (peeled or unpeeled)

You live like 2 minutes away from where I told you to get them. Plus you can go to like any big grocery store and find them but you end up at a small specialized food store!
