Im starting to sell my car. I say starting to because I have only advertised on here and eurodrivers.ca So the question I have, will a dealer ship sell your car for you for a kick back. example if you want $15,000 grand and you get that they will take $300. Has anyone done this before?

There are places that you can sell your car by consignment. Basically they do all the work for you, store your car, and when it sells they take a certain percentage.

I've never done this - I have a thing about not trusting people with my car. lol. But if you record your mileage to make sure they don't go joy-riding then you should be ok.

Hah, i dunno, if they would do it for $300, you'd probably be dreaming.

why would you put in just on here and eurodrivers...you wont sell it like that. Put it in the autotrader, and put it on canadatrader.com....ect. Come on man, dont get lazy already

and since no one has said it yet....."you threw a dealership???"

well we are not in a huge rush to sell. Im curious about selling threw a dealership. Also advertising on a forum is free and lots of people see it.

I would try to sell privatly first. Dealers will knock you down, as much as they can and then sell it for a couple of G's more than what they gave it to you for.

I had an 03 lancer and I sold it to a dealer. He gave me 13k for it, the book vale was about 15k. When everything was said and done they turned around and sold it for 18k. So think about this when you are thinking about going to a dealer. They will also try to make you trade to give you a better deal, don't do it.

If its a last resort then do it, but if your not in a rush selling it privately. These guys are right, try autotrader, buy & sell etc.
