Just a note. It was very hot and humid, the car weighs a ton, it was my first time launching it, I only got 2 runs, and it needs a tune up because it wasn't pulling normal(needs tune up/plugs).

Ok, now that I've made all my excuses, my best time was a 14.78 @91.7mph. I had what I thought was a really good launch (2.1 60' time), but I had to drop the clutch at a pretty high rpm so it would still be at full boost when the tires hooked up. Ahhhh, nothing like an awd 5000rpm drop. It took off pretty hard. The clutch was definatly doing it's job.

You can see by my slower run that the launch/60'time really effects the overall run.

Oh, check my r/t for the second run. I know it's a red light, but I'm pretty good at r/t's. W/ my teg, I've gotten a .502 and .512 back to back.

See ya.

do you know how to correct your time to take into account elevation and weather condition?

here you go (http://rfedd.bigstep.com/generic.html?pid=97)

too bad they dont have 6300ft:thumbsdow :thumbsdow ...but it should be about the same as 6000ft

Evan

Well, since each 100 ft, the ET factor goes up by 13 and the MPH factor goes up by 0.0014, it's safe to assume the stats for 6300 ft are:

ET Factor
.9211

MPH Factor
1.0843

Ekliptix

Calgary's 3740ft. so Ed the SOHC's corrected time is 15.56
My teg's corrected time is 16.21 :thumbsdow
and the Stealth's corrected time is 14.10 @ 96.1mph

OK... so say I run 15.5 in the 1/4 - I multiply that by .9211 which is 14.27, do I then add on 1.0843? which would give me a time of 15.35... is that right??? :dunno:

no. the et factor is about 0.9542 for Calgary's elevation.

The second number (about 1.0481) is multiplied by your mph

I didnt know the elevation of Calgary :) I assumed 6300 ft because SpyGuy was upset they didnt have that elevation :)

i think the elevation of calgary is around 3500ft maybe a little more. other factors like humidity and heat will change it the correction numbers.

lol. wonder why spyguy needs 6300ft correction numbers

The elevation at Race City is 3375ft as measured with GPS equipment, so you can do you corrections based on that.

Yesterday night, based on humidity and temperature, the correction factor was 6200ft.

You gotta run on a better night, it's the 15 second club, not the 15 second corrected club!

Anyways, the corrected time for your 16.3s last night would be around 15.6s.

I raced a Stealth TT when I took my 951 out to Secret Street. He raped me off the line with a 1.9s 60 ft time on street tires, so you still have room for improvement in the launch department. That guy ran a 13.7@100mph or something.

I drive a 1995 Stealth R/T TT. My best run on the first night I had it out was a 14.384 @ 96.56mph. All I have for mods is a dynomax cat elminator, stillen intake and Denso plugs. When I went to race city, it was about 23 c outside. LOTS of FUN.

cool. Why Denso plugs? I know these cars really respond well to bolt-ons that let them breath better. I just have to convince my Dad of that, cuz it's his car.

Apparently, the Denso plugs add up to 18hp at the wheels on turbo Stealths. I don't know if it added 18 but I felt a difference.

I had to pay $35/each and the only place I could find them was Ebay.
