No harm done in contacting the guy, but i'd be real careful when it comes to inspecting the machine and/or handing over cash. If its one of those "I'm out of the country and too busy to get top dollar so just wire me the money in Nigeria" cases.... just walk away! :D

i've seen ads like this before, the guy was trying to sell an 04 aprilla for 7500 but of course he need the money wired to him before he could take the title off from the bank and ship the bike. I'm not saying this is the same guy, but it sure sounds like the same scam. why wouldn't the guy selling the bike take it to a bike dealership were they would give him atleast $6000 if not more. and they would do it on the spot. "a good deal is a good deal but only if it's real". if you can go and see this bike, ride it and do a vin check on it, grab it. if not don't pursue it.

thats true... but 3900 for a 2005 R1... thats cheaper than what i sold my 2005 GS500 for. There has GOT to be something wrong with it, or just not real...

when i was shopping for a bike i had the same dilemma with buysell. a bike that was too good to be true showed up and i called the number. the person said he had moved overseas and didn't need the bike. but if i were to send payment and pay for shipping i would recieve the bike. he made it seem as fool proof as he could but i could see SCAM all over it. i reported it to buysell and the next day it was removed. BEWARE.

yes it was a scam, the same person placed about 3-4 ads of different bikes with the same price of 3,900 obo, they've all been deleted
