Hey, I was wondering if anyone knows how to open ports on a linksys router which would allow me to host.

Ok...

Lemme try to write this up so that it makes some sense.

step 1) find out your LAN extension address > Go to Command prompt, and type in IPCONFIG, the number should be 192.168.1.100 < the 100 being your computer extension. between 100 and 149.

step 2) go to your browser, type in 192.168.1.1 and press enter, enter your router password... (default is admin/admin)

step 3) click on the Application and Gaming tab. enter port 6112 as the port you would like to open, and then enter your computer extension number (from step 1). Click BOTH tdp and udp. check the enable box. Save settings and close the browser.

Step 4) disable windows firewall.

Step 5) host games.
