Huh does that mean that like they're gonna compare the sylvania bulbs to yours or something

HID lighting systems and "Sylvania Cool Blue Bulbs" are completely different. I wouldn't be surprised if the people doing the reporting, a long with the police, are confused by all the marketing buzz terms and such used to sell those cheap ass blue coated halogen bulbs.

Glowrider is right. This is what's inside a real HID setup.

...While the HID lights in new cars are legal, after-market or look-alike lights are not...

Here's the whole story. (http://www.canada.com/search/story.aspx?id=865647e8-8c6a-4335-8a09-bd436bf7264c)

OMG, people are so dumb...

If you know there is bright light why do stare at it? Like the guy that has his high beams on and doesn't know it... do you stare at it, or look away?

sheesh... no wonder there are so many accidents...

But other drivers find HID lights distracting.

pay attention to the road and not the pretty lights...

Dammit, now I have to make a glare shield for my HIDs... and I just got them too!

I bet in 10 years, HID is going to be an option on every car or even standard... Even the new Toyota Minivan has them! It is also #3 of what people want as an option when they purchase a new vehicle... so if everyone wants them, why are they complaining?

Same shit happened 30+ years ago when halogen headlights started replacing weak-ass sealed-beam technology.

I think anything around 6000K would be ok. As long as it's not blatantly obvious that you have an aftermarket HID system in your car. I have to admit that I hate people that get those 8000K-10000K HID systems, those are just ridiculous. Especially when they don't have projectors to properly direct the light.

IMO, 6000K is a little too blue and their light output is significantly reduced compared with 4100K. I wasn't happy with the 6000K bulbs and went back to the 4100K stock bulbs.

The pics were taken with daylight film using the same exposure, and scanned without colour or exposure correction.

I have 6000K philips ultinon... I kinda regret getting it... should have got 4300K... cheaper and less conspicuous (sp?).
