Isn't it 15 years from build date? Some 92's should be legal now.

build date yes ... but JDM cars go by the manufacturer date such as 1991 rather than 1991 build car and sold year as 1992 ....... so only a genuine 1991 is legal and 1992 built will be next year

they are coming up soon, if you buy one now it just won't be exported and it can wait over there with a exporter. will be nice to see some evo's come in.

next year will be awsome for cars, we have the FD rx7, the evo, aristo (what i want as a daily)

than in late 2008 we will see s14's, skyline r32 gtr V spec II (august was the first build date) and much much more

Problem is the first year of the Evo was very limited production and rare. They might be hard to find, you might have to wait until 2009 to get the Evo III :D

shouldn't be to much of a problem to get an evo next year, there is always 1 or 2 in the auctions each day that were produced in 92, not saying you can get it in early 2007 but still you shouldn't have a problem

Definately the most pure & easiest for parts as every DSM shop sells EVO III turbos & exhausts parts and the 7-bolt engine is pretty well identical to 2G DSM's. It lacked all the fancy differentials & traction controls of the latest but is smaller and lighter.

I guess you could also source from the UK too. Those were popular over there. Ford Escort Cosworth is also legal too...! Not sure about buying a 15 year old Mitsu or Ford though... :dunno:

Those are the auction car
YOu can find some company in google to help you offer the car and do everything for you, "bid, inspection and shipping stuff"
what you have to do it pay the money and pick it up
I am not sure how is it work but this is what those company said
good luck to find the nice company

import concern or jdm connection would do it for you.

To buy from that auction inventory, you must submit a deposit to one of those importing companies. Once you have submitted a deposit they can search the auctions and help you find a car you are looking for. From what I've experienced, they will send you pics and a little info on a car and see if you like it. If you do, they will bid with however much you want.

I would personally suggest www.j-specimports.ca
Import Concern and JDM Connection are in Alberta but they have fewer cars in their broker stock and it's rare to see a good condition one.

Sorry for the intrusion on this thread, but just to let you know about another option. www.japancarexportsonline.com . We even have an auction website with almost all the auctions in Japan. You'll be able to see the biggest selection of auction cars available in real-time.

PM me for details.
