What's your budget?

110CC will grow old quickly. I'd stick with AT LEAST a 125cc 2-stroke for your first bike.

They are easy to learn how to ride, difficult to master.

The noname 110cc's you see on ebay are 4 strokes, which are completely gutless. I learned to ride on a Honda CRF100 (100cc 4 stroke) and got bored over a weekend with it. I now have a Kawa KX125 (125 2-stroke) and it's just perfect for me. The difference between the two isn't in the engine size, but the stroke configuration. A 2-stroke makes far more power than a similarily cc'd 4-stroke engine. Big difference.

As for the budget, i'd save at least $1500 for your first bike. You won't find much for $800 at all. At 1500-2000, you can definately find a very potent starter bike.

I learned how to ride on a 4stroke Honda XR80. 80cc engine.. worked for me, was good for a few years.

I'd like to pick up a 125-175 ish.

You should scout the used classifieds first. I don't think you can get any new bikes for under $2500. Even that Honda I told you about cost me over $2500 and it was the cheapest one.

I'd check buysell.com. My brother bought his from there for a great price.

ya don't bother with a small bike. i have an xr80 and a ct70 for campground cruising and a KDX200 for trail riding.

If you could find a KDX they are really good woods/trail bike

No problem, if you need any help ask. Let us know what you get, if you can drive a 5spd car you wont take long to learn to ride a bike.

man no offence but you really should have took the advice in this thread..
but for a helmet you could find a decent one for 150. you dont need all the fancy graphics if you have a low budget.

I *really* wish you didn't do that....

Those bikes are 25" from the ground to the seat. Do the measurements

This one right? 7.5HP is a little weak but the real problem is the size of the bike. 25.5" from the ground is far too little to do any real riding with. $500 aint bad though, so if you dont like it you can probably sell it.

i have few buddies with CR50's bored out to 88cc's and they are very fun to ride. they can pretty much do almost anything a big bike can do (small jumps etc) except for huge hill climbs. have fun on the thing man.

My last bike was a 91 kx 250, went like stink. I wish I never sold that. My point is don't get a 250 2 stroke as a first bike unless you are going to drive like a nun, or you might get hurt.
