Im looking into getting an 01 or 02 330CI.

What are your guys experience with these cars as well as what are things to look out for when test driving and viewing them?

I have never owned a car as luxurious as a bmw so i dont exactly know what to look for.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Thats a very good price for a 330. 22-25k is what you'd get a 323ci for.

Anyways, 330ci is the best of the 3-series, good power and tons of nice features. These engines will last for 1/2 million km's or more when well maintained, but expect certain quirks like electrical and smaller mechanical problems to go wrong. They aren't the best for reliability so keep that in mind also, and repairs are quite expensive if you can't do them yourself.

I've driven bot the auto and std in the coupe and sedan. The car is very solid and extremely good. The engine has been on the top 10 best engines list for many years, and Car and driver's 10 best for many years. You cannot go wrong really. The problems it will have, if any, will be very small minor stuff that will just be annoying and likely won't take away any function. The car is built like a tank.

That is a really good deal. A 2004 330Ci w/ the M performance package goes for $52K at the dealer right now.

Awesome deal, i'm currently looking for the same thing. I have found a few 2001's but none under 30k. I would say if everything checks out go for it.

Why not Maranellos? They are one of the best bodyshops in town, along with the fact that both BMW dealerships send their cars there for repairs.

Have you also had the car inspected? The price doesn't seem right.

Maranellos is booked solid for the next few months, their prices are outrageous and the work that needs to be done on the car is very minor.

The car is going for inspection on monday morning.

For gawds sake.

These cars are INLINE!!!!!!!

Get the dealer to run the last 6 of the VIN and they can print out a page telling you exactly what it is, even down to the options, the true exterior color.
