Just as the title says. I am looking to know the stock size speakers of an 81 Malibu Classic. I want to get rid of the stock speakers, one out of the 4 work.

One last question. The front speakers are in bedded(Covered) in the top of the dash, how hard would those be to change?

Any help would be great, thanks guys

The fronts are 3.5" speakers. The rears size depends if its a coupe, sedan, or station wagon. They are either 6x9", 6.5", or 5.25". The rears shouldn't be too hard to figure out. The front speakers are a bitch, I think you basically have to remove part/all of the front dash to replace. You best bet is to change to 2 way front speakers and 3 way rear speakers.

Yeah thats crazy, I looked all over and I couldn't find anything on the speakers. Mine is a sedan, so it would be 6.5, right?

I kind of figured that you would have to take the whole front dash apart, well I guess I am only going to change 2 speakers lol.

I think it maybe. To be safe you should check it out, its just sitting in the rear dash isn't it? Or you can pop your trunk and check it from underneath.

I know of this one place.
You can only check what will fit your car, and then buy it from elsewhere.(as they do not ship to Canada, what a shame :()

This will show you what fits.

Yeah the back would be easy, it was more the front that was more of a concern. One set of speakers would be fine.

Thanks for the help guys.
