Which would be better to get for performance im thinkin the JDM DC 4-1 over the USDM 4-1

The jdm has a 2.5inch collector pipe , i was wonderin whats a good shop to get this installed cause i would need a flange so it can be bolted to my stock cat.

I don't think you'd need a flange even if you bolt it to your stock cat. And why go with a 4-1? Why not a 4-2-1? Much better choice for a daily driven car.

what is the point of getting a 2.5" collector if you are going to bottleneck it an inch later?

If you are going to run the bigger collector you need to get a bigger cat/test pipe and exhaust to match the collector of the header.

and why get a 4-1 header? My question is why get a 4-2-1? Hondas do not make shit for HP or tq down low, so why buy a header that will get you 2 more hp down low and lose big HP up top where you should be driving a honda anyway?

The DC JDM 4-1 hangs REALLY low. If your car is slammed you will have a problem with it. I only have a 1.25" drop in th front and my header to still dented.

if I were you I would save and get a 2.5" cat before you go and get the header. Your header won't do shit if you are going to bottleneck it right back up anyways. And get the cat. If you can afford a $500 header spend the extra $60 and do everyone a favor.

Why do you want to 2.5" collector anyways? What kind of mods do you have right now?

With a 2" drop you are going to have to be really careful with a DC 4-1 header.

You need a 2.5" exhaust for ITR cams?

Well what kind of exhaust to you have or are planning on getting? Most after market honda exhausts are 2.25" so even if you go with a 2.5" collector you are bottlenecking it right back up again anyways. :dunno:


I think the USDM DC 4-1 hangs pretty low too.
