with cars like these:

it might be hard to sell for 10,000, as the ones above could be bought for around the same, and have around 100,000km less than yours; but its deff. possible if you are pateint

well according to dealerships this is how it should be calculated..

average cars average about 20000km a year. so since yours is a 97 than its 9 years old.

9 x 24000km = 216 000km

and any km over that you subtract .10$

so 230 000 - 216 000 = 14 000

14 000 x .10 = 1400$

so subtract 1400$ from RETAIL value. And according to dealerships and how they set their prices, retail value is roughly 2g's more than in the black book.

so according to the black book (actual book) average price on your car is roughly 6g's. Add a couple grand....= 8g's. and subtract the 1400.

8000-1400 = 6400$ (this is roughly the price you would expect a dealership to appraise your car for.)
meaning you could probably sell it for 7500.

this is just one way of looking at it, i thought i would bring it to your attention. And keep in mind this is based on a car in great body condition and no accidents.

^^^
here is an idea that could work. Spend 7000 on a bike and buy my friends mustang for 500 bucks.

its an 88 mustang lx-4. VEry strong car with only 140xxx km, very low for the year. power door locks, power mirrors.

CAr is white and brown (the brown is rust), it has a dent.

the car does not leak, very strong engine and has never failed him or the previous owner (the previous owner was my other friend)

this is just an idea, i have a thread open about this mustang in the marketplace if you wanna check out pictures.
