Is the faint hum coming from the ear piece itself or more the screen making the "noise"?

i think its the earpiece but it could be the screen when it lights up, honestly I dont notice it anymore but my GF does occationally so I wanted to make sure anyone looking to buy knows about it. I have however been PM'ed that its a very easy 5 min fix.
