hey long time reader second time poster?..lol
either way the more i read about car audio the more confused i end up. i know a bit and some of the basics
anywho
my old set up used a legacy 2 ch amp (i know i know legacy are crap) but in attempts to make my subs work to there full power i thought i would get a new amp
the subs are MTX 12 inch mzs1204 300watt rms 4ohms
the amp I'm thinkin about using is a AUDIOBAHN A6004V
so 2 subs that i need to run at 300watt;s each right?
audiobahn amp specs are
RMS POWER RATINGS:
4 Ohms Stereo: 75W x 4
2 Ohms Stereo: 150W x 2
4 Ohms Mono: 300W x 2
Class A/B MOSFET Circuitry
PWM MOSFET Power Supply
Double-Sided Glass Epoxy Circuit Board
THD: 0.02%
S/N Ratio: >100dB (+/- 1dB)
Frequency Response: 10Hz - 40KHz
Variable 18dB Hi-pass Crossover: 50Hz - 750Hz
Variable 18dB Low-pass Crossover: 30Hz - 120Hz
Bass boost @ 45Hz: 0-18db
Subsonic Filter: 20Hz - 50Hz
RCA Throughput Connections
3-way Protection Circuitry: Thermal, Short Circuit and Overload
Cooling Fan
Cobalt Blue Illumination
High Gloss Chrome-Plated Finish
Nickel-Plated Block Terminals
Dimensions: Height: 2 1/8", Width: 11 1/16", Depth:9 7/8"
its a 2ch amp so id have to bridge the 4 into 2 for each sub and that would give me my "4 Ohms Mono: 300W x 2" (300 watts RMS x 2 bridged output at 4 ohms (4-ohm stable in bridged mode) ?
i think im on the right track here and have this all leveled out. but hey i could be 100% off cause everyplace i call everyone i talk to tells me something diff. i don't want to run 2 mono amps. i want the best set up for the lowest dent in the wallet
so does this all work as I'm thinkin it should? is this amp a pos or will it be worth $140 us?
any comments ideas...ect are welcome.
thanks
