Damn. He will be missed. He was an amazing hockey player, and the face of the wings for such a long time.

Great guy going out before he was washed up trash, the perfect end for him. Start to finish a Wing what a classy guy. :thumbsup: Yzerman you will be missed.

Yeah, as much as I loved watching him play, it was time for him to retire. You could tell his knees just weren't up to the challenge anymore, plus I think that puck to the face last season made him realize it may be time.

Awesome player, awesome captain. I expect to see him in the HOF soon.

they should just induct him into the HOF and skip the 3 year waiting list. it is guaranteed that he is in anyway.
