The M3 goes up for sale tomorrow. The Accord wagon will have to do for now. I'm hoping there will be a wagon version of the WRX STi. A 300hp AWD wagon for 45K would be ideal.

I had been searching for a 5th Gen accord wagon for over a year but only found about four for sale in ALL of Canada in that time. I am so obsessed with them. The biggest problem was that they are aimed at a family buyer which meant that most of them were teal or gold with grey or sand colored interiors. I was willing to paint the whole car but it's too much to change the entire interior too. If you see one of these wagons done up they are sooooo sweet. Check out http://www.accordwagonclub.com
If I find a black 95-97 with no rust I'm selling my lude and buying it. 18" RH C-5s, H22a swap, manual tranny, Kaminari or Black Widow kit, and so much more. I love these cars!

If I;m not mistaken, this wagon's owner claims to running in the high 12's or low 13's with a h22a swap.

Not true the accord is the same weight or even more and a prelude at best will run a high 14

What was done to the engine is anyone's guess.

However, I should point out that the Accord wagon's transmission is not the same as a regular accord, the gearing is lower. I'm not sure if it's the first gear or all of them. They also have bigger brakes. These changes were probably due to the increase load capacity of the wagon.

It's a well known fact on various Accord Wagon forums that I've visited that the wagon was faster than the same model and year sedan, in 0-60, simply due to the gearing.

However, I would expect that over a 1/4 mile they would come up pretty even.

Sorry, my bad. The one I was thinking of is actually a 91-93 model with an H22a swap and a turbo. The guy is from florida or something and is pushing towards the 12's. It isn't this wagon.

But man, the things I would do for a wagon. Can you say sleeper?
