so my friend purchased an 06 civic coupe,

it comes with a sub woofer on the back,

the problem is that when he turns the music up, the sub will actually hit the back window which causes an annoying rattling noise.

He brought it back to Honda, and they said there is nothing they can do to prevent the sub from hitting the back window? :thumbsdow

is there anything we can do to fix the problem?

(please dont post stuff like, GET A NEW SUB, or DONT TURN ON THE MUSIC TOO LOUD)

just what are some general ideas on how to get the sub from hitting the window

ok .. so the sub is physically touching the back window? what kind of monkey installed the sub in that spot! If that is the situation, there is no magic trick to stop that from happening.

Is it a factory sub? Is the actual sub hitting the back window?

I'm assuming its up on the rear platform area.

The only way to fix it is to move the sub forward an inch... shave some of hole forward, re-position, and fill the area where it was.

pain in the ass.. and the guys at honda tech should be able to do something.. if not, tell them you want a new car without this "defect".
