View Full Version : FS damaged 1997 ninja zx9-r

1997 ninja zx9-r for sale, approx 36,000km's. jet kit installed, . was painted approx 2 weeks before i was hit, polished frame. so here are the details, has new shift lever and clutch lever, , front fairing was replaced with a fiberglass piece before paint, so it can repaired easily, will require mirror stay, is bent. will require passenger seat recover. have both sides of tail fairings will require left side fairing, will require new fuel tank. is fine to ride the way it is, i rode it yesterday. these are the parts to make it like new again. have brand new front and rear sprockets not yet installed, up 2 teeth for the rear, cracked front fairing as spare. I want 2000 dollars firm. and no test rides. thanks.

wow nice deal for someone to fix up.

couple questions:

no frame,wheel,fork damage?

if you dont mind can you elaborate on what happened to it?

Also has it been wrote off?


if you sitll ahve this in a couple weeks i will pick it up possibly.

has a clean title, has not been written off, no frame damage, basically slid on it's side..i have not had it inspected but i have rode it at highway speeds since the accident with no problems. no front fender damage or wheel damage.

How long was it running on its side? I'm curious because you say no test rides, if it ran dry for a bit that would be concerning......Also, any clutch cover/crank case damage?

no crankcase damage, didn't go through the fairings, and no test rides because insurance has been taken off of it, and rides the same as before the accident.

$2500 eh? If your willing to bend on that.. a fair bit... then PM me. :)

but new fairing alone is $2500 I'm guessing for the front. given my last Ninja rebuild. (No I'm not a "curber" I just happened to fix up a crashed bike for my personal use)

last bump with new price. *2000 firm*, only parts needed are left fairing, fuel tank, and mirror stay. and of course paint. need it gone. pm for more details and for the parts list of what i have. can be ridden for the rest of the season and fixed over the winter as well. thanks..
