question for anyone who cares to answer...why the fad of decals being reverse....you know?

you can read them the right way on the left side of the car, but then on the right side they mirror image them...why is that?

to me it's kinda dumb...IMO they shoud just do the "proper reading way" on both sides like race cars etc
