that fancy pager system is the only thing that makes buying a security system worth while. think about how many times u heard a car alarm go off and u didnt even blink an eye, thats what people are gonna do when they hear your alarm go off, a pager system makes having a alarm worth the money, my dad just got the compustar system and they kick some major ass

The main idea is to deter the theif, why would they steal a car with a siren screaming in their ears, when they can steal someone elses one nice and quietly.

The basic alarm for $99 isn't really a bad deal ...but it is a generic alarm though, it's the extra's that are overpriced.
...I don't want to say too much about that place, as I was threatened to be sued by them, when I decided to leave, in an attempt to scare me out of the installing business, pfft yeah right!

Well, considering my luck with alarm systems lately, Quinn to me seemed to be the best quality alarm I had installed so far. Got one in me Civic. Works like a bute and tends to fend off old ladies. Granted, I think it was QUTIE overpriced... I didn't get a pager sys, but pretty much got the works (cuz I am paranoid). Ran me 1,200 clams. Owie, but I'm paranoid so I did it. If you've pretty much got the basics installed (hood/trunk pins, starter kill etc) there's no reason why you can't get it all connected for under $500. Wiring, labor and siren aren't that expensive, and I'd be wary of anyone who tells ya otherwise. Remotes may run up the $$, tho.

And I feel left out. I entered for one 'a dem freebie Quinn systems and didn't win. I have the worse luck...
