View Full Version : "Advanced Parking Systems" ticket?
I got a ticket from parking my motorbike on the grass between the sidewalk and the fence for this lot at 4th St and 3rd Ave downtown.
Has anybody gotten a ticket from these guys before? If I don't pay will it go to collections? I definitely won't park on or near that lot again.
<related rant>
I wish Calgary would pass a law like Toronto where motorbikes can park anywhere for free. It's retarded that they take up like 1/10 of the space of an SUV yet have to pay the same frickin' parking rates.
Is it city of calgary ticket? or impark?
The ticket says "Advanced Parking Systems", so I assume it's a private company like Impark.

If there is no "City of Calgary" anywhere on it, then trash it.

Haha, fuck are you serious?
I thought they were in the same class as impark.
I work for the cpa, but goddamn, I must have at least 4 or 5 tickets.
City of calgary = pay
advanced / impark = throw that shit out.
I thought I heard somewhere that now through collaboration with alberta registries that they can assume your personal info if you do not proceed to pay off their tickets. Not sure whether or not having that info will be detrimental to your credit rating further down the road.

They can indeed, and yes, if they want, they can cause you credit problems in the future, it will be considered an unpaid debt.
Thank Mr.Klein for that last August.

So if that's really the case, why ever pay the fee?
Will they tow you eventually if you get on some hit-list of non payments?

theres not many lots they'd be able to fit a truck in to get you out of there.. I had a whack of impark tickets, worst thing that has happened to me is a big scratch in the area they would lean over to put a ticket on my winsheild, as if he had something hanging on his belt... :guns:
