Really?

Guess the 780 crowd is grossly misinformed.

You live, you learn!

Equipment regs clearly state that engine compartment must be covered. Ill dig up the regs when I get back to work.

How about driving without front bumpers? I always thought that was a safety concern.

How about driving at night, with no low beams but fog lights?

Bumpers or bumper covers?

I don't think you need the cover but you need the bumper.

It has to be as close to the OEM part as possible. ie these pick-ups which have removed the bumper and replaced it with a cover are illegal.

"as close as possible" sounds pretty open to interpretation and impossible to quantify, cant see that going anywhere if thats what it says...

hahah :werd: wuts my chances of getting a ticket for a 05 dodge ram with 38x14 MTR's and 6 inches of lift (i have mud flaps and fender flares to cover the rubber. i realise the bumper height and headlight issue could be a factor but i believe that im under it (even if its just by a cunt hair:P)

Read the mudflap rule carefully.. I beat that one nearly 8 years ago.. When I was charged with it, it read "If not equipped with body or fenders"...I got a ticket for no mudflaps on a truck with 35's , that had a full body, ie: cab, box and fenders. The RCMp were the worst of that one, for years I carried the printed out law around in my glovebox when I got pulled over for it..
The mudflap rule was developed for semi trucks and flat decks and then abused by ticket quota's and bored small town cops..
