Hello All.. New to your forum, so I thought I'd introduce myself. Watched this forum forever, but just registered. I'm from Charleston, SC. My Baby -----> '00 Mustang GT Conv. White on black leather, Cobra Front Clip, Ram Air hood, Flows, H-Pipe, Cold Air Induction, Chip - mostly minor bolt ons, but supa-strong motor - runs 8.70 in the 1/8. Any other questions, just ask.

so in half of a 1/4 mile it runs 8.70? so the 1/4 mile time is what? 13-15 secs??:dunno:

We have an absence of 1/4 tracks down here; either liability and noise issues or just lack of land I guess. The closest 1/4 mile track is Commerce, Ga. So to rough figure your 1/4, add your 1/8 time + half that more. So figure 8.70 + 4.35. Low 13's I'd guess...

I did 8.26 in the 8th and 12.86 in the 1/4, so I'd guess you're around mid 13's maybe.

Is that a corrected time, or the actual time? Pretty fast for what you have done to it I'd say.

Welcome.

Thats actual time - thats a personal best of about 6 runs. All between 8.70 and 8.90's. I've owned 4 mustangs and this is my first 4.6. I was hesitant of it at first, but I must admit I cannot say anything bad about it at all.. Pretty quik for a whale of a car! Great all around...

im kinda confused 1/8 is half of 1/4 so to get a quarter mile time wouldent u double the 1/8 time to get a quater mile time?

lol... your AzN SkillZ are lacking.

If you break a 1/4 mile into two 1/8's:

When you start out your first 1/8 mile you are going 0mph

When you start your second 1/8 you are already going say 60 mph.

I was going to explain the mathematics in this, but you all have done well enough. Thanks! Wouldn't it be something though if a bone stock car running 14.0 in the 1/4 could do 7 flat in the 1/8?? Nice...

no you can just double your 1/8 mile time..
acceleration doesn't exist on the track..duhhhhhhh
