Bought the car about a year and a half ago...

It was modified, moderately I'd say, by a previous owner. The car was originally a Burgundrot 84 325e. Somewhere along the way somebody decided to replace the tractor motor with a 325i drivetrain. It currently has the motor from a 1987 325i and the tranny is unkown to me. How do I know it's an 87 motor? The water pump for the 87 is "unique" with an extra nozzle. Either the tranny or the speedometer reads about 10% fast. I haven't gone under the diff to find out what it is yet.

Parts on the car:

K&N Cone
Jim Conforti chip
MSDS headers (Pretty sure they're MSDS because they are shorties as opposed to long tube)
Stromung exhaust
M3 offset Control Arm Bushings
Tokico Shocks
Apex 60mm Springs
Racing Dynamics rear skirt
Euro Smiley Projector headlights
Diablo Racing Concept 9 17X7
Yokohama Advan H4 205/40/17

I prefer to turn my wrenches when I can so I've had the pleasure of doing the following work myself:

Water Pump
Timing Belt
Rear Shock Mounts
Euro Smiley headlight upgrade
Valve cover gasket
Distributor Cap and Rotor
(The old cap crumbled in my hands when I removed it)
Oil changes
