So I picked up a Tial external wastegate from speedtech, they said it was a .5 bar wastegate and on the box it said .5 bar. So I get it home and install it, I want to make sure that it's all working correctly so I hook it upto my air compressor threw a leak down tester so that I can monitor and control the psi going to the wastegate. It ends up that the wastegate is 1 bar, so I call up speed tech and they contact their distributor. He confirms that sometimes 1 bar wastegates get mixed up with the .5 bar wastegates, so speedtech orders me in a .5 bar spring. I head down there to pick it up (with the 1 bar spring with me) get there and they charge me $50 for the .5 bar spring. So I took my 1 bar spring and the .5 bar spring when I left.
Like WTF, they should have given me the .5 bar spring for free. If they wanted the 1 bar spring back that was fine with me, but I don't see why I need to shell out another $50 for a spring that should have come stock in the wastegate. Especailly when the wastegate was stupid expensive (something like $550).
