I just finished swapping a b18b into a 95 civic. Im using a chipped P06 to run it and have put about 10km on the motor since the swap. As of right now it runs pretty rough and jerks while driving, however sometimes i get a few moments where the car drives really nice. Is this normal right after a swap?

What was your experience right after swapping in the new engine?

Jerk, as in, when you let out the clutch? Or just when your driving.

sounds like it could be a fuel problem, or possibly the ecu, but thats a long shot... it shouldn't run rough at all, especially right after the swap, there is no break in period of any sort...

you should check your chipped p06. double check to see what basemap was loaded onto it.

Before you go rip it to shreds, take out the injectors and clean them as well as some fuel system cleaner into the gas. Lucas or seafoam will do the trick nicely.

so i took it for another test drive and everything was good at first, i even took it on the highway. After about five mins the jerking started again, my rpms would go up and down while staying steady on the gas. I heard a clicking and noticed it was coming from a little light grey box right underneath my in car fuse box....what is the box for? any ideas on whats goin on.

once the jerking started i pulled over sat for a couple mins then it drove good again for a short while

are you getting a CEL? is the o2 sensor hooked up correctly? sound like a fuel delivery problem for sure.

i think it may be the main relay, which is hooked up to the fuel which makes sense. thats what has been clicking. im going to pick n pull to see if i can find another one, hopefully this will fix my problem.

Definitly sounds like the relay. If its blown or just screwed up there would definitly be clicking. Tell us how it goes.

just bought a new main relay and that was not the problem. Could it be anything to do with my tps sensor? if it was a bad chip on the ecu would it run good even at first?

Does it ever stall out on you when it is jerking? If so it could be the Ignitor, Honda ignitors love to crap out.
