From what i know, 300zx TT"s came as 2 seaters right?
Im looking at a 95 300zx right now to purchase , and i was curious how hard and what sort of stuff would i need to convert it from a 2 seater to a 2+2 in the back? or even 2+3 if possible lol.

Anyone done this before? If so.. help lol. i really like this car.. but i really need to think about praticality of just having 1 passenger..

thanks

lovely car, but i can tell you from personal experience that the 2+2 setup in that car is most suited to legless dwarfs. :dunno:

It's for luggage or 3 year olds.

dont bother, the 2+2 is a totally different body, it's a longer car by 9 inches and wider by half an inch and different layout.

And trust me, the 2 seats in the back, they're good for a set of golf clubs, thats it, dont bother trying to shoehorn a passenger back there. These were not grocery getters or chauffer cars. There is a large amount of non turbo 300's out there in both the 2 seater and the 2+2. In all honesty, the 2 seat non turbo is better to have. Not as common, and more true to a Z.

As ben explained...2+2 Z's are overall too different from 2+0 to even try.

Short answer to change 2+0 to 2+2:
You can't.

you could also get a 2+2 from here and swap in the TT engine, but it might not be worth the extra cost, I could be wrong I dont know how much the engine goes for.

There has been a few 89 2+2 TT RHD selling around Alberta, they ranged from $6000-10000, pretty cheap but I suspect you get what you pay for. At least it would still be cheaper than buying and converting an NA :o

My previous Z was a 2+2 and I dont think anyone ever got in the back seat other than my 2 out of 3 kids. It just plain sucked!! Looking from another point of view it does add the folding seat and vastly increase you luggage capacity, the TT falls a little short in the cargo dept...oh wait its a sports car who cares!!!
