I'm interested in learning how to use Photoshop to enhance my digital photos. Can anyone recommend a good book? I have played around in Photoshop a bit but wouldn't call myself an expert. I'm probably beginner/intermediate and am just looking for a book with some tutorials, how-tos and explanations of the tools!

I reccomend a couple

1.) Proffessional Photoshop (the classic guide to color correction) by Dan Margulis

2.) Down Dirty Tricks, by Scott Kelby

I actually recomend anything by Scott Kelby.

I like the Adobe ones.

Photoshop 7.0 Studio Techniques, pricey (60-70$) but lots of useful tips/tricks and its in color. CS/CS2 should also be available now

I also have Photoshop for Digital Photographers

How are the books? Worth the price you pay for them or should I just be checking out online tutorials?

I thought the books i got were defiinetly worth the $. But if you just want to know the basics and whatnot im sure you can find all the info you need on the net. Type in photoshop tutorials on google and you will find a bunch of cool sites worth looking into.

What are you wanting to do that you didn't learn about? The books 3g listed are pretty good, I was checking them out the other day and have them on my christmas list :D

I guess more in depth for everything. I was searching and the top 3 authors that were recommended are Scott Kelby, Martin Evening and Katrin Eismann
