So I was browsing around killing time as usual and I seen an add for tiny replica engines, actual running gasoline engines, hardly bigger then a set of keys.. Thought, hey that would be a pretty cool little "toy", something to sit on the shelf and show people from time to time.. Well holy hell they ain't cheap!

Makes sense to me :dunno:
beyond materials the amount of work involved in the manufacturing process is at least as much if not more than a full sized engine. None of the parts are mass produced, either.

that 1/4 scale Chevy motor with 15:1 compression should be making 125Hp though. Ill swap out my D series for it :poosie:

Oh I totally understand, the work involved, amazing.. little camshafts/valves.. etc.. I'd like to go see them being built, I guess I've finally found a reason to visit Michigan.. ha

   Wasn't there a little engine a while ago in a thread that was like $200k? I don't think ~7k is unreasonable for something of this quality...especially when it's operational
