WTF, power wire from napa. is it multi layered braided and low impedance? no. its 14ft, no splices, unlike the stuff you'd buy from napa.

Will this wire be too much, or will it work fine?

I just need power and ground, the remote turn-on can just be a regular wire right?

If it's a real cheap amp, you might only need 8 gauge wire then. Actually, for a cheap amp ( under 300 ) I would definetely go 8 gauge - I think 8 gauge is rated up to 500W?

And yes, the remote turn on will be a regular wire (16/18 ga) if your type of system.

i honestly would not use anything above 4 guage. specificly becuase of the amount of heat caused by a thinner wire. also voltage drop is a concern too. ever see wire burn up, it's like a fuse. looks cool though till it melts the carpet.
