because its easier to give a phone away with a long contract then try and to sell the contract with the phone, and he's better off giving both away instead of paying $200 or more to disconnect.

If you cancel your plan they will only charge you $200 maximum. Might be a better option than selling it to someone who could potentially screw you over by not paying the bills for this plan.

Then just sell the phone and it would make up for the $200 you just paid to cancel the phone.....

yeah i paid 200 for my slvr. and i believe its 200 to cancel your plan. I would go this route
