Hey buddies,

I was just wondering what the cost for a 2003 Acura RSX Premium should be.

I am looking at one right now with these aspects:

2.0L

Coupe

Automatic

25,000 kms

Silver exterior

Black leather interior

$23,000

It also has the following options: Alloy Wheels, Anti-Lock Brakes, Air Conditioning, Bucket Seats, CD Player, Cruise Control, Dual Air Bag, Heated Mirrors, Heated Seats, Intermittent Wipers, Keyless Entry, Leather Interior, Power Brakes, Power Locks, Power Mirrors, Power Steering, Power Trunk, Power Windows, Rear Defroster, Sunroof, Tilt Steering, Tinted Glass

I need to know just to make sure that Im in the right range price wise. He said they don't have much room to move on price... ... But thats all part of the price offering stage.

Anyways all the help, opinions (that is on topic), facts, would be very appreciated. Thanks!! :D :D

Your best bet would be to look at canadatrader and see what the relative prices are for that type of car.
At that price range I think you could probably get a type s so my guess is that the price is a little high

hahaha thats a pretty good price buddy....i went to sunridge mazda today jus to look around and they had a 2002 RSX w/ 104xxx kms only option was leather and they were askin $23 000 for it so considering that its a pretty good price and it wasnt a type S

RSX hold their value pretty good. I think the Premium was about $29k out the door. This one has exceptionally low mileage.

Private or Dealer?

There is usually room to move on used cars more so than on new ones. I'd offer them 21,000 and go from there. It's very low kms so that is great.

Wow, I know someone who go the a base model 2002 RSX for $22K in 2003 brand new (it was a left over at the dealer). He could sell it now and have driven it for practically free!

No leather.

Leather is guaranteed over $30K

My buddy had the exact same car and Toyota paid him $23K when he traded it in a few months ago.

So $23K is good.

why not look for a 2002 with a little higher kms, and get a type S for that price? :dunno:

I sold a 02 RSX Premium last fall. Same car except black on black leather and a 5 spd. Had over 60K on it and sold it for 23,500 so that price seems to be all right. Get em down a bit though, the whole no room to move on this one is always a crock of shit.....

:guns: .....used car salesmen

Aren't these cars around 27k out the door new? I'm not sure i'd say 5k less than new is a great price for a 3 year old car . I coulda sworn i've seen RSX's for under 20k recently.

$23,996.00 is the avg. price of 03 rsx premiums currently advertised in alberta on autotrader website. None have that low of km.

Yeah for some reason these RSX prices are artificially inflated. A lot of cars on the Autotrader have been there for ages with no one willing to pay their high prices. I'd say you should be able to find one for under $20k. Book value on the premium models are well below $20k.

Well, I can't argue with Richard so there you go.

(But glad I got to rip someone off last fall then:D)

Its all about how long you can wait for the market to fall or that GREAT deal.... no word of a lie, i saw an 02 type S in the bargainfinder for 19k, and it only had 72,000kms, no problems nothing, and it didnt sell quick, this is because most people assume there is something wrong with it, nope, just a good deal.... Ive seen premiums depending on kms, as low as 16k, (high kms) up $29k (2005s) at dealerships, the market fluctuates you really just gotta be a good buyer and make sure you arent paying too much for what you actually want

good luck!

blackbook lists it as valued between 19-21.

my cousin just bought an 02 type s for 20k. i think its overpriced.

So $23K is good.

Yea, that's what I thought.

Plus it has a couple additions I didn't mention that I believe would boost the price up.

It' all good.

So for resale, the price point it keep is good?
