If you had to choose between a 2002 IS300 or 330I which would you take and why?

Thanks.

330i...test drive both and you'll find why.

of course the 330i. IS300 is a great car but sometime i think it looks like a civic IMO.

Bimmer man, they drive better, much better suspension and they actually feel better too. But then again, I might be a little biased.

I think you'd be hard presssed to find anyone who would choose the IS 300, but keep in mind the beemer is gonna be a fair bit more expensive.

BMWs have free scheduled maintenance during warranty period. One would hope that the owners would take full advantage of this, making for some very well maintained used units.

I have also experienced that regular maintenance after the free period is about the same cost on both cars. I would think though that in the long run the Toyota product is going to be more reliable.

I would go with the Lexus for this reason if no other. Plus there are way too many 3 series on the roads these days.

I chose the IS. After an easy suspension and wheel upgrade handling comes close to the 330Ci. My view is people typically buy the car for the brand and to be pretentious.

I would take the 330i for the motor alone. Award winning I6, butter smooth, torque everywhere, etc. etc.

The IS is a great car, just needs more power.

Lexus has come far in the luxury department but my vote is for the Bimmer. Hands down :poosie:

IS needs a turbo!

I like the 330I, but if the IS300 has the Premium Package I would take the Lexus. No question. I have driven both and liked both, but the Lexus has my needs covered :)

both great cars. i feel the is300 has enough power around the city, very reliable. i chose the is300 over a 325 but i would choose the 330 over it. keep in mind there is a price difference.

I would rather drive a 330i than an IS300. But I'd rather own an IS300 over a 330i. The "free scheduled maintenance" for BMW is a joke. You should look at what you REALLY actually get with it. Many of my neighbours got suckered into that little marketing ploy of theirs.

I think IS300 is more exclusive, and much better looking. It does indeed need a turbo though....

i'd go bimmer, the is300 is great and all but for everyday driving. i like the 330s capabilities better.

well im lookin for a year around daily driver and it has 2 be reliable..
i have driven both and to me they both drive very similar

sure the BMW has more power but in the city i think 215 or whatever the IS has is more than enuf.
The toyota in the long will def be more reliable and cheaper on maintenance.

the only 'mods' i am planning on doin to either car is tint and rims .. NO TURBO hahaha

but then again im only planning on keeping this car for 8-12 months before i sell it so it doesnt really matter what the maintenance in the long run is..

o the dilemma!
