Hey guys I'm looking to get a 24-27 inch TV to play my 360 on, as I'm going away to college and will no longer have acess to my fam's hdtv. So any suggestions on a good hdtv for under 1000?

I have a 27" Toshiba LCD I use for my 360 and I love it.

I'm no expert but +1 for Toshiba.

i was up at costco last night and they had a nice 32 inch viewsonic there for just under a grand for an lcd. I figure viewsonic makes good computer screens, so their home stuff should be alright. It looked good when i was there. I am too wanting a new screen as my parents not too hapy whne i play 360 on the family room 62" incher

Look for a proview 32" ...

www.cnet.com gives it best 32" under a grand

at my parents place they have one of those proviews and there is lots of ghosting during movement on the screen. Mind you i don't think they have HDTV going to it. But thats just what i have noticed so far.

It's going in a dorm room, so projector isn't an option... Anyone used that costco tv?

we bought a viewsonic 32 inch widescreen lcd for work and it's great.. watched the play offs on it.. etc :p.. and we dont even have cable

we even got to test out ps2 and stuff on it and it was very crisp

you really dont want a 26 inch widescreen compared to 32 inch..

26 inch is like a wider 19inch to me :o

Go to A & B Sound and buy a seanix 32". The one with the speakers on the side is a proview. which what I stated earlier is one of the best.

If you wanna save some $$, 26" HDTV in the old tube styles are still better then any LCD's. They are 1/2 the price, but take up a little more room, but for picture quality and price, you couldn't beat a Tube TV.

You can buy my 30" Sony HD widescreen CRT for $500 :D
It's heavy, but the picture is very good. Receipt for ~$1700 just over a year ago.
