i heard that if something gets caught in the blade it can really scratch up your car?

Well when you use it..you just drag it across your paint. If there's a small rock or a piece of sand caught on the edges of the blade..your dragging it across your paint!

take your wiper off and use it. Same idea, but a fraction of the cost

Is that like a squeegee?

You can get those for about 4 dollars...

It's like a sgueegee but it is bendable. I love my CWB. I use it all the time. As long as you're careful to wipe the blade down with a cloth then you will not scratch your car.

You can buy them at Canadian Tire but they are always sold out.

The detailers use those things all the time at work to dry off the cars. They work really well, but if you don't have one, one of your wipers will work just as well, but be careful, because the rubber blade is a lot smaller on a wiper than those things.

Just remember, if your car isn't completely clean, DONT use the California Water Blade on your car unless u want to damage ur paint :)

We have one. It doesn't work as well for more rounder cars.

I stopped using it because it makes a horrible squealing noise everytime. Does that happen on all of yours?

Not quite 'squeaky clean' but more of a scratching nails on a chalkboard sound. It became unnerving so I just ditched it for a bath towel.

I use it on my windows only and I use a chamois on the rest of the car. The blade is to big to get all the little spots of water on the body, plus the blade doesn't leave and streaks on the windows like a chamois does.

That squealing noise happens to me but only if there isn't much water on the area I am drying.

mine does the squealing noise too. it does that if there is a dry patch. I just use it on the windows too.

The Blade isn't used to completely dry the car. I use it to get rid of the large amounts of water, then use a towel to wipe down the whole car... that way the towel doesn't get saturated and leave small water marks everywhere.

you should use a chamios man... the saturation problem doesn't happen as much.

yep, cloth baby diapers work the best.. thats what we use at work... got about 1500 of them :D.. Ill use the blade to remove large amounts of water from the hood, roof, truck ect, and then only use 1-2 cloths to finish drying...
