Hit and Run.......

So I was at work all day, and after work I walk up to my car to find that some fukken asshole hits my car and runs.....and what bothers me the most is that it's a huge parking lot...and obviously with an impact that huge, my alarm went off....but no one witnessed anything!!

It was worst...the whole fender was somewhat pushed down against my wheel...I was rubbing hardcore....i had to bend it back up so that i could at least drive it.

Can't see it though...but i believe a truck hit my car....cuz there was no paint marked left....but black tire marks. Seemed like the other car like ran over my fender or something.......FUK!:guns: :guns:

Are there any cameras in the parking lot? Freind of mine had this happen, got the tape, found the guy, 1000 dollar payout for fender damage similar to yours.

Yeah, the fukker got like a cm of my hood!! What sucks is that I'm only on liability for insurance...so they're not gonna cover anything. The cops told me that they can't do anything unless there's a witness or cameras. But hope for the best cuz I currently have a "FOR SALE" sign on my car, so hopefully someone saw something and wrote down my number.......long shot, but it's just wishful thinking!

I believe it was a truck that hit my car. Cuz I went outside while I was at work just to get fresh air, and I was looking at my car and noticed a WHITE newer model Dodge Ram parked next to my car....but my car was still fine. Then half an hour later...I come out to see my look like ASS!!

If everyone look carefully....there's black tire scuff marks all over the fender, and also on my rim. Seemed like the truck drove over my fender. Cuz I couldn't drive the car cuz the fender was smushed against my wheel.....I had to pull the whole fender up just so that i could get clearance in between so I would be able to drive home.:guns:

yeah I still have the hood kicking around...but the hood is not that big of a deal....gotta worry about finding a fender for a JDM integra conversion. Gonna be a challenge!

Since a fender for JDM Tegs are so hard to come by....since I took a year of autobody tech. I'll attempted to fix the damage just so that the car will look more decent than it is!!

Started off by taking the car apart so I can get the fender off! Once off I placed it on the ground upside down to stomped on the damage areas! After I pounded all the damage areas out with a body hammer....then bondo the rest!! Hard part was sanding it smooth....took a bit of work tho....but i'm diggin it!! Let me know what everyone thinks.....

Not really...it's hard to find a fender for the JDM conversions. Places do have them, but they only sell them complete with the JDM front ends

Yeah...right now it's just primed! had to prime it, don't want water to get to the bondo and soak in. Still gotta lil bit more work to do b4 painting!!

Hey great job man. Excuse my ignorance but how did you get the shape of the fender back to the original shape? I know you said you hammered it out as best you can and bondo'd it. Did you eye-ball it as best you can (compared to the opposite side)?

Regardless, looks great. I guess the one-year tuition of auto-tech is paying off

Well you look at the damaged pics.....just the front portion of the fender was damaged....and the back portion was still good...so I basically took the shape from the back and worked my way from there....plus when I hammered it, I didn't hammer out too far.....i left over some low spots...so that's where the bondo comes in.

Keep in mind....as i was hammering...I had to take the fender on and off the car along with the bumper and lights just to see how well things line up. By doing this...it gives me a clue on how the shape is. So I filled the low spots with the bondo and once the bondo got hard, I shaped it the best i could by sanding it down. And I kept on doing the previous steps over and over until i believe it's good! took me a while too!!

And yeah I did use the opposite side as a reference at times!
