Sponsorship of International Students

Does anyone have any information regarding sponsoring an international student to study in Calgary? I've heard that there are government subsidized programs out there for international students to study in high school and post-secondary if there was a valid, local sponsor available...

I'm not sure if I'm reading it right, but those programs seem to be intended for Canadians to learn in other countries... What I'm looking for is the other way around; students from another country to be sponsored here in Canada for high school and post secondary.
