Couple of weeks ago, someone front ended my car. The front right bumper has a dent. Nothing major. I called my insurance company and they told me to go to a body shop for an estimation. I got the quote and few days later, my insurance told me everything approved and I can bring my car anytime to get it fixed. My question is, can I just ask my insurance company to give me a cheque of what the estimated damage is and I either go to another other body shop I like or not get the car fixed and just keep the money? Or do I HAVE to get it fixed since i filed an accident claim with my insurance company? Thanks
