Gee, it seems to have fire-resistant fur! :D

Do you think it will stick around your pond, or go back to wherever it came from?

I just went down and checked. I couldn't see it so maybe it took off.

Actuall the CBC had a special on them, how some doofus let one come over form the Central and South American Rainforests and now since they have no natural predators here in NA, they are Spreading like wild fire...

Ah yes the only natural enemy of the muskrat, the shovel. Either spade or flat the sovel slowly stocks its prey until they letr its gaurd down. Then WHAM! The shovel does not have to feed for quite some time now after a muskrat feast.

well.
if i spot one at the lake im letting my shovel loose on it.
fuckin hate things like that. they dont scare me, but i know if you accidentally walked up on one he'd want to take a chunk outta your shin.

Ps i prefer to have the flat, More surface area to make contact with=less room for a mistake.

I think you are right about it being a Muskrat. It's tail is a bit flattened and it's feet/claws look more like a Muskrat. Not sure how well the Coypu could survive in the north but I guess it could. Just very suseptable to the cold and tends to freeze to death.

And ya those buggers can be mean. I had a medium sized dog that got into it with one and you want to talk about "taking out a chunk" Yup that would sum that up!

Why are people scared of muskrats? They're basically beavers with pointy tails.

I have a bucket for sale. It's not the luxury model pictured above, its more of a high quality Ice cream pail.

Muskrat sold seperatly.

Does it have a handle?

Yes, but only one side connects to the bucket, its more of a pull strap to drag it along the ground. Its unique and its only available in the ground model. Lowered.
