So I got my road test tomorrow and just wanted to get some tips on what I should not do or do.

I've heard that I should not take my hands off steering wheel while waiting at a stop light or I'll get some points taken off.

I know the basics like going the speed limit while in school zones/playground zones. Completely stop at a Stop Sign. Driving at the suggested speed.

Please give me some pointers on what to do.

Thanks

Don't hit the curb when you do your parallel park. You have to be within 50 cm of the curb, which is actually quite a lot.

Even though everyone blows through right-hand turns on red, come to a complete stop for 3 seconds first.

When leaving the parking lot , make sure you stop at the "walking path" then drive over it , and stop at the stop sign lol. Also , make sure all doors are closed when he enters. Umm watch for pedestrians , and talk ur ass off to the driver

Good luck

signal 20m before a turn.
don't talk to the examiner and keep your eyes on the road
check the rear view mirror from time to time.
when stopping behind a car, make sure you still can see his tires

I guess it depends on the examiner.
mine was a serious east indian guy, so not much of conversation there.

:werd: I made that mistake on my road test. I thought it was treated as a yield sign. I was wrong... lol

Automic fail. Nuff said.

another thing, stop when leaving a parking lot, even though it does not have a stop sign.

Also intersections in parking lots are considered uncontrolled intersections, so you have to stop and yield to the car on the right if there is another vehicle at the intesection. On my first test I aced the whole thing and then failed in the last 15 seconds as I came into the parking lot because I didn't do this.

^ Yeah, the idea being your hands won't smack in in the face if your airbag goes off.

Also, remember the person to your right has the right of way on uncontrolled intersectoins.

Hey, me too. I'd never had the instructor in my training say a peep about it, and if you notice 99% of the cars on the road will blow right through if it's clear.
