need computer help!

ok....first off, i know i need a new computer. but if i can get this one to run right, it can help me out until i get a new computer. i am running win 98 on this piece, and i keep getting pop up's from hell! what can i use to get rid of these? or do i have to format my computer? (in which case, does anyone know where to get a good copy of win 98?) it is getting bad enough that i have to restart my computer every 15 minutes! i can't even begin to explain how bad it is....

try spybot, and ad-aware, should clean up a lot of it.

i have already tried ad aware, at the end of the scan, it freezes, and won't do shit....i'll try spybot, and let you know

when i install my comp with window XP without downloading SP2 and the updates.. pop up comes up like CRAZY!!
all i gotta say is get winxp with SP2 man..
haha but.. i don't know.. old comp how old? can it run winxp?

ok....so i tried spywarebot, but you need credit card for it to delete the shit off your computer. i don't have a credit card....any programs that don't cost money?
